EXTENDED ESSAY
The aim of the extended essay is to investigate and prepare for university level research level papers. For my extended essay I decided to work with psychology and more specifically with Gaslighting and how gaslighting is related to the negative stereotypes on women.

How does this piece of evidence show the chosen IB Learner Profile Characteristic?
I think that this evidence demonstrates the IB learner profile characteristic of thinkers as this evidence shows critical thinking skills mostly in how I developed my topic and the focus that I gave my essay. Moreover, I was able to approach some difficulties in creatively and recognizing the extent of critical thinking needed to make the most out of this research.

Which challenges did I face when developing this particular evidence?
How can this particular evidence help me in the future?
Some challenges that I faced during the making of my extended essay were mostly due to the investigation process. The term gaslighting is still very much unknown, and therefore studies aren't yet able to measure this type of psychological abuse, therefore my investigation was a difficult challenge to face due to this fact.
I consider that this evidence will help me in the future in areas such as research and writing about a topic in such way that everyone is able to understand it. I also think that this evidence helped me develop critical thinking tools, that will be much helpful in any task I can receive in the future.
